I have a strange one the console came up with "engine fault - repair car" and the eco off light has come on and the service light and just 6 hours later the battery not charging warning came up and the red stop light appeared, but the car started fine after leaving it for 2 hours

A sudden warning last Friday displayed "emissions fault", Urea warning light, and "have the engine repaired" warnings, complete with bells and whistles, plus a countdown, " engine will be prevented from starting after 700 miles". My local Citroen dealer who sold me the car 4 years ago is unable to fit me in "for weeks".

I have a Citroen Picasso and recently the esp light and gear fault light comes on. I stop switch the engine off and start again. It works until some time later when the lights appear again. What does the esp fault light means and it now comes up with engine fault. The car is a 2007 car with very loow mileage. Can you please shed a light on this.

Using the snap on diagnostic machine its turns out there is another Ecu for the Diesel Additive in which the Tank needs coding though & also level codes were stored In the same ecu and need clearing. Once programmed correctly we were able to clear the codes in the main engine ECU. Ive put a Video together on the repair.
You need to sit in the car and when in reverse set were you want each mirror to be, using the switch left and right. Once set they will remember this and if you move the switch left or right once in reverse the mirror will adjust to the setting you selected and return to your normal setting once you move the switch back to the centre. The quote for the repair is £1500, which include two Non-stock pipes (total £200) and the condenser (£200), the rest is labour. They tell me the high labour cost is because they have to remove the engine to change the pipes - and this is the standard way/cost Citroen state for this repair.

To remove the switch, grip and rotate the switch 90 degrees anti clockwise, the disconnect the connector. When replacing the old switch for the new one, you need to set the plunger new switch to the same length as the old one. This is done by pushing or pulling taking care not to damage it. What I need help with is identifying whether it is the fan motor, resistor pack, or feed that is at fault, or a combination of these. I have stripped out and removed the fan motor assembly and dried it out in the airing cupboard in the hope that this may resolve the problem. MjgAW.
