I had my computer's audio playback Default Device set to my headset (Logitech G35 for reference). The game would not load at all. Immediately crashed upon startup, even for the game's Safe Mode. I switched the playback Default Device to my PC's speakers as I planned to watch a show, then tried loading the game out of curiousity (in safe mode) and it worked. I didn't' think
I noticed other such threads were closed and it said to make a new one. Am on Windows10 (x64), with a GT 240 nVidia Geforce graphics card. Starting from steam it just quietly does nothing after the menu to play or safe mode. When running it from the exe in \\Binaries\\Wn32\\ I get "Life IsStrange.exe - Application Error" with "The application was unable to start correctly (0xC000007b
2- "Delete" Life is Strange ID save in your Steam installation folder -> userdata (its all numbers so if you want to know which number is Life Is Strange, create a desktop shortcut of the game and right click on it and go in proprieties to see the ID of the game. Back to userdata, delete the folder with the ID of you game.
I've uninstalled the game and installed it again and it still crashes and sends me off the app or with a prompt when I try run the game. It always does this at the menu or it doesn't even load the menu at all, sometimes I get to the menu and click load chapter and it crashes. I'd say do the usual and update your gfx drivers, windows update and so on. also, try running the game without anti-virus software running the background. might be just that it is interfering with your game.
